This is my Grandma Beatrice, Grandpa Gayle and dad (in the middle), Brenton and Judy. This picture was taken a few years before my grandma was killed in an automobile accident. My dad who was the eldest, was 8 years old. I have talked about this before. The reason I mention it again is because of this.....
This is Wendy and Denny Mack and their children. Wendy is Lee and Karen Kimball's daughter and an adopted baby sister of mine. When I was 19 my family moved to Highland Utah. The Kimball family lived in our ward and soon became very dear to me. I babysat their children on numerous occasions, they set me up with their nephew, and they were my second family. Wendy was 7 at the time. She became my little shadow and I loved having her around. Saturday Wendy suffered a pulmonary embulism and passed away. She was 7 months pregnant so the doctors delivered her baby, a little girl (Maylee) who passed away the next day. I can't even imagine what her husband and family are going through but i am pretty sure my dad and his family can understand. Wendy was pure joy to be around. I know what kind of mother she was and I know how much those kids are going to miss her. What they don't know yet is how much she will remain in their lives and help them from the other side. I think of her future grandchildren who, like me, will feel her presence and influence all throughout their life. What a blessing it has been for me to have my Grandma Beatrice with me on so many occasions. I know Wendy's grandchildren will experience those same kinds of blessings. We will miss her - her family will miss her most. As I write this I hope they know that the prayers of so many of us are with them and Heavenly Father is directing all of their lives.
Wendy, I won't see you again in this life but I want you to know how much I love you. You were always such a light in my life, your smile always made me happy. Thank you!
